Kristina and Porter
Joy, Alvin, and the rest of the Pawsitive Education team are the BEST. We cannot thank them enough for not only taking care of Porter and training him, but more so for teaching us how to communicate and understand him and for being his second home and family away from home. Super appreciate the extra care when needed, the advice and reassurance, and also all the updates and daily videos (where he and the other dogs are clearly super happy and enjoying learning and socializing in a comfortable, safe space).
Thank you so much, Joy, for being so kind and patient and for going above and beyond for us and for Porter!! Will definitely be back for daycare and playtime with his friends 💕

Elwilfredo and Chewie
This training facility is a scam!!!
I brought Chewie(Siberian Husky) thinking that they will teach basic obedience when I got so much more. 😉
It offers to teach your fur babies basic commands. But will end up teaching you how to communicate better and love them even more.
Ms. Joy is not only a Trainer but a dog behavior specialist. She will teach you the basics on understanding your fur baby and guides you on how to train your dog. They do not train dogs with chokers, slip-leash, and the likes.
A shoutout as well to the Pawsitive Team that takes care and send updated videos of our fur babies when we go on vacation.
Will definitely bring back Chewie for Day Care socialization.😁😄

I signed my 2-year-old Boston Terrier up for the 3-week board and train program. He was well taken care of and was visibly very happy to be there (as seen in the daily videos being sent by Team Pawsitive).
He also came home to be a much gentler dog (he used to jump and bark at people and dogs to demand attention, play, or treats) but he has unlearned that. He is also more responsive to corrections.
I highly recommend Pawsitive Ed! It’s only been over a week since my dog came back but my (and my family’s) life feels much lighter because our dog has better manners now and isn’t much of a handful anymore :)
THANK YOU!

Cooper, Giant and Dada
Dog training is a work in progress and I am glad to have found Pawsitive Education. I am very satisfied on how Joy Uy trained my two Chihuahuas, Cooper and Giant and taught me (as the dog parent) on how to become a pack leader. The two have a “love-hate” relationship, with both having different personalities and temperament. They were taught basic obedience and socialization. She also gave troubleshooting tips on how to handle different scenarios with the dogs. Training was fun with adequate area for play with other dogs and rest. Since Cooper and Giant are small in size (but big in personality), they made sure of their safety and security giving special thanks to her staff who took care of them. Location area is accessible, safe and peaceful. A week after training, I am happy with the outcome of their behavior and thankful that I have found a trainer who was able to guide us. I would recommend Pawsitive Education for their obedience training and doggy care services. Good thing I found them somewhere in the Internet.

Dave and Riza
Dave, our poodle, was raised to be a guard dog --- "bantay ng bahay". He grew up staying in our garage while tied on his collar. He was allowed to roam around the garage for about 2-4 hours of the day until we had to transfer to a condo unit for convenience. We looked for a school where he can still be trained at 4 years old to live harmoniously with people,
Dave has stayed with Pawsitive Education for more than a month on a staggered basis and has become a loving pet! He is now responds to his Mom (that's me) during my visits by being affectionate without his previous attitude of being hyper all the time or worst --- ignoring me. He knows how to relate with other dogs and play. He now slowly tries to trust people other than his human family.
If Pawsitive Education has brought a lot of changes in Dave, it also taught us valuable lessons in having a pet. Pets should be treated as family --- not to be tied or pushed around with the owners taking charge of their everyday affairs and welfare. It also takes a lot of effort to be responsible dog owner --- one has to consider neutering; updated vaccinations, food and fresh water, daily exercise and most of all, lots of affection!
Kudos to Joy Uy and her team! You have taught me dog psychology.
My heartfelt thanks,
Riza

Summer and KC, Pam, Neriz
exhausted after a playing at the Doggie Day Care
We first brought Summer to the doggie day care nearly 3 months ago. It has quickly made its way to our list of favorite places. For Summer, it's her second home where she can be with her doggy friends. She's not simply locked up in a cage, and she gets some extra exercise from running around the spacious garden.
Socializing her allows her to learn how to behave with other dogs and not to be afraid of them. It's just fun and healthy for her to be with and play with her own kind.
For us, her humans, the doggie day care offers us a way to de-stress. Hanging out with the dogs -- playing with them, watching their goofy antics -- has a way of cheering us up. We get a dose of cuteness and we hardly notice the time fly by. Whenever we leave Summer there, we are comforted by the fact that she's safe, well taken cared of, and in a place she actually enjoys being in.

Can I have my treat?
I first met Joy Uy who owns the dog training center Pawsitive Education last March. I was looking for a good dog trainor for Diego my 2 year oldGerman Shepherd. My dog Diego is a very big dog and very physical and he usually displays his aggressiveness and would intimidate any one he would encounter for the first time. And this is what happened when they firstmet. I was trying to have a conversation with Joy but Diego was furiously barking at her and despite my commands he kept on lunging at her. I was very concerned that they will not hit it off. Joy on the other hand knew exactly what to do and she applied her experience and after awhile she won the trust of Diego.
Joy Uy has the perfect personality needed by a dogtrainer. She is patient, methodical, confident and has a genuine concern for her students and clients.
Her methods are also unique and I must say very Canadian in the sense that its genuine and modern and yet sensible..She uses a more relax, cerebral and natural approach in her training allowing the dogs to retain their nature which is a bit different from what I was used to.
Her center located near Wack Wack also is very ideal fortraining with lots of space. Overall I was very impressed with the personnel, methods and facilities of Pawstive Education Center. The experience was definitely enriching and positive.
Thanks Joy!

Pawsitive Education is not in the business you’d expect them to be in, that is, a business that offers
training for pets. My personal experience leads me to believe otherwise.
Pawsitive Education, and in turn Joy Uy, Trainer, is in the business of teaching you languages.
The magic of each training session is evident in how your pet suddenly seems to be communicating with you, even if the only thing you and your pet learn at first is “sit”. After that first word, Joy makes it seem easy to put words into your pet’s mouth – you’ll be able to appreciate how each posture, misdemeanor, whine, bark, or meow translate to how you yourself should interact with your pet.
Put succinctly, Joy Uy sits down with you and your pet and learns and in quick succession teaches you a new language to be used between the three of you. The training sessions are not simply a series of orders and expected actions, Joy teaches you the tone of voice you need, helps you ascertain the relationship you have with your pet, what your pet says when he/she misbehaves, and what you need to do to gently get
your commands through to your pet.
So, if you have a pet and you want to start your relationship with him or her in the correct way, pick up that phone and give Joy a call. You’ll find that there’s much and more to talk about, when it comes to your pet.

Joy was an absolute joy to work with. My dog, Rocky, is smart and stubborn. I had zero success teaching anything to him besides sit. He would only look away from me and pretend to be interested in something far off. Within minutes of meeting Joy, Rocky was listening and learning, as was I.
My dog was a good dog before he met Joy. Now he's a great dog. I do not think I could have done this alone, and I know I could not have done this so fast. It is amazing what Joy has accomplished in so little time. Pawsitive Education indeed.

Pawsitive Education is the best dog training company my dog, Milo and I have ever attended. Joy is very knowledgeable and she knows how to correct any bad dog behaviours. I saw instant improvements in my dog after just one session. Pawsitive Education uses positive training and reinforcement, which I prefer over the other traditional and physical training methods. Pawsitive Education helped Milo understand what is wrong and what is right without any physical harm/infliction to him. I really enjoyed the time Joy was here to help me correct Milo's bad behaviour and I would highly recommend her to any one I know who has any dog behavioural problems."
